To my loving father, you raised me to be the man I am. You are my hero and my protector. Dad, there is no way I could have made it without all the support, love and guidance you have given me.
I love you so much and wished that you would be with me forever. However you brought me this far and told me you were going to have to go home one day. I just never thought that day would come. I will always keep you in my heart and on my mind. I love you dad.

To my favorite Uncle. Missed but never forgotten. I remember playing spades all the time with u and my parents and Auntie. Also Roe cooking and me eating so much I was tired. I thank God for all the memories. You will always be remembered. RIP and let God take the load now. Love Always ur favorite niece PJ.
To my Hero, my grandfather, Claudie B. Peete, I never knew love like how I loved you. You taught me so much in life and how important it is to save something for myself. Some of the lessons you taught me was, “you got to pay ya self first” and you may not pay at the front door but you sholl gonna pay at the back” . We never knew what you meant til later in life. I said that to say, I will remember everything you lived for and worked so hard for. You was a great man all around. The way you loved your wife and family is just a mustard seed of why I love you sooo much. Rest up granddad, love always, your granddaughter Nicole

My deepest sympathy to the Peete family. I have many memories with Claudie B and Rose. The one that stands out to me this morning is our trip with several family members to New Orleans. Many trips and laughs up and down Bourbon St. Only fond memories of this man. Love to the family.
I love you soooo much granddad… I miss u sooo much. My life will never be the same without you…. you loved me sooo much and I am missing that love sooo bad. I never knew love like this and now it’s gone… Rest In Peace granddad…. pls know I will always have u in my heart. You was soo smart, loving, kind and real. I wish we was together forever but you always told me this was temporary and we not here forever. I still listen to your voice on my answering machine when I need to hear you. God have me you and I guess He needed you back. I thank you Lord for letting me borrow your angel for 42 years. I just wish I could have talked to you or held your hand one more time. I’m sooo sorry I was not there when u closed your eyes. Make room for me on the other side of you. I know u will have grandma on the other side lol. Love always your granddaughter/ daughter, Nicole
Uncle. My dear Uncle. Uncle Big Man.
What am I, without you? What is my father, without his older brother? What is my sister and brother without you?
You, Uncle Big Man, you saved our family. You, just a little ole country boy made the sacrifice to go to Buffalo, to make it. And you did! And because of your kind heart, and the love of your family, and never forgetting where you came from, you reached out to help my father make it. You laid the foundation for our family.
My sister, my brother, and I would be nothing without the countless sacrifices you made for our family. How can we ever thank you for all you did for us?
Therefore, I speak for my sister, my brother, and myself, and say that ALL the success we have had in this country we owe to you. You helped make us what we are. We are where we are today because you cared for your little brother, our father. Uncle Big Man, our family will always love you and remember the sacrifices you made for us. That is why we will never forget your voice and your wisdom. Our father’s older brother. Thank you, Uncle. Thank you, Uncle Big Man and thank you Auntie

To my dear Uncle Big Man I truly am going to miss you. Outside of my father you were my greatest male influence growing up. You always kept it real as they say and never sugar coated your views and for that I always respected you. I’ve carried the many lessons you taught me into adulthood and passed a lot of that knowledge on to my kids. You were always a shining example of what a man, father and husband should be. I’m thankful and blessed to have had you in my life as a Uncle, mentor and role model. I love you Unc!
Mr. Peete you were and always will be the sweetest man I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. You were always so full of life, lessons and jokes lol. I’m truly going to miss you telling me to “let you hold something”. You were very insightful, intuitive, extremely informative and highly intelligent. I am so thankful that Elijah had the opportunity to be in your life for the last five years, I know how much he meant to you. Boy how you adored big Jim as you called him. You’re presence will definitely be missed. May your sweet-gentle soul Rest in Paradise. We love you Mr. Peete from your Cootie-Coo and Big Jim

Our wonderful Big Man has come to the end of the line. Linda and I are so sad and heavy hearted to see him go. We pray and offer sympathy to all who have lost this wonderful person.
Our special condolences to Rosie Mae, Reginald, Gregory and Michael, our sister Viola, our brother William and sister-in-law Ethel, and also to all of our cousins and his many friends.
So many times, he has bailed me out of sticky situations and offered advice and support when I needed it. Some examples, the time he sent me cash to buy clothing when a fire occurred in a college dormitory. When he provided room, board and transportation for an entire summer during my collegiate days. There is no way to express my gratitude for this. Also, all the times he would pick up the check in restaurants and the time he sent a check to help us purchase a home for our Dad.
He wasn’t the oldest of my siblings, but he was the one that we all looked to when we needed help or advice. He offered it without expecting anything in return.
He now has his wings. His memory will always be in our hearts. Rest in Peace Big Man. Rest in Peace.

What can I say about my uncle? If I were to say one word it would be truthful. Uncle big man had a way of seeing the necessary and making it plain. I will miss him.
