of Covington, TN , transitioned Saturday, January 15, 2022. Public walk-through to be held Friday, January 28, 2022, 12:00 P.M.- 6:00 P.M at V.B. Barlow Memorial Chapel, 205 North Main Street Covington, TN 38019. Funeral service to be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 411 Shelton Street Covington, TN 38019  Interment immediately following at Townsend Cemetery, Covington, TN.

In accordance with local, state and federal guidelines, face masks/coverings are HIGHLY recommended. Social Distancing will be required.

Services will be lived streamed.

  5. I didn’t know JB for very long. I met her working with her in the NAACP organization. It was a pleasure working with her. May God give her family strength during their time of sorrow.

  13. Jelunda you will be missed. I will always remember you as a Dynamic speaker for the Mable Walker luncheon. The encouraging and inspiring words you delivered will always be in our hearts.

  14. A young lady that was not ashamed of the word of God. A young lady who showed great respect for her mother. A beautiful mother who loved and pushed her sons. A lady that left an impression on you to always trust God. Jelunda was very encouraging and a dynamic speaker. Although she has transitioned she definitely left her mark on the world that will never be erased. I thank God for having had the opportunity to be one of her Christian Teachers. Mother Mae Wingo I will be here to help as a fill in daughter. I am praying for sons to look unto God for help. God bless
